Take the Free Quiz →What is the cat personality test?
The 16 Purrsonalities cat personality test is a free quiz that maps your cat's behavior to one of 16 MBTI-inspired personality types — things like whether they're introverted or extroverted, structured or spontaneous, feeling-oriented or logic-driven (yes, cats have preferences too).
The quiz asks about real behavior you've observed: how your cat reacts to strangers, whether they prefer routine or novelty, how they handle stress, and what their relationship with attention actually looks like. No guessing required — just answer based on what your cat does.
At the end, you get a full personality profile with your cat's type name, their strengths and quirks, and how they tend to get along with other cats and humans. It's free, takes about three minutes, and works for cats of any age or breed.

Common questions
Is the cat personality test really free?
Yes, completely. No account needed, no email required, no paywall at the end. You get your full results immediately after finishing.
How long does it take?
About three minutes for most people. There are 20 questions and they're straightforward — you'll know the answers from living with your cat.
Does it work for kittens?
It works best for cats over six months old, when personality starts to stabilize. Very young kittens are still developing, so results may shift as they grow.
Is it based on real cat psychology?
The framework is inspired by MBTI but adapted for feline behavior — drawing on actual cat ethology research around social orientation, activity patterns, and stress response. It's a personality lens, not a clinical assessment.
Can I take it for multiple cats?
Yes — just take it again for each cat. Many multi-cat households do this to understand why their cats get along (or don't).
